Toledo thrashes Morgan State on Senior Day

The Toledo Rockets (2-1) used a massive 43-point second quarter scoring blitz to run away from the Morgan State Bears (0-3) en route to a 60-0 victory. Seniors Junior Vandeross III, Kenji Christian and Chip Trayanum scored two touchdowns apiece in the quarter as the Rockets took a 46-point lead into the break. Defensively the Rockets weren’t slouches either. Toledo held Bear’s quarterbacks Kobe Muasau and John Griffith to a combined 9 of 16 for 20 yards passing and leading rusher Jason Collins Jr. to just 17 yards on 9 carries. In all the Rockets racked up 557 total yards to a miniscule 56 for the Bears. Toledo subbed heavily in the second half.
