Toledo dominates N. Illinois

                The Toledo Rockets (5-4,3-2) led from start to finish defeating an outmatched Northern Illinois (2-7,1-4) 42-3 Wednesday night at the Glass Bowl stadium. Rocket returner Trayvon Rudolph returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown to open the scoring. The Huskies were able to mount a 12 play 42- yard drive that ended in a 50-yard field goal by Andrew Glass making the score 7-3. After the Husky score the Rockets never looked back quarterback Tucker Gleason threw for a season high 309 yards with two passing score while adding a two-yard plunge on the ground. Receiver Junior Vandeross III was his main target with six receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown. Running backs Chip Trayanum and Kenji Christian scored on the ground also.

                Defensively the Rockets held Northern to 203 yards of total offense and just 2-16 on 3rd downs. A bright spot for the Huskies was linebacker Quinn Urwiler led all defenders with 13 tackles on the night.
