Big third quarter lifts #2 Mount Union to victory

                The host Heidelberg Student Princes used a spirited first half to hold 2nd ranked Mount Union (6-0, 4-0 OAC) to 14 points while going into the half down 14-6. The Purple Raiders scored on their first two possessions of the game but were held scoreless the rest of the half. Heidelberg scored on a one yard Ty Poorman run on a short drive after a tipped Mount Union punt. After the break Mount Union exploded for 21 third quarter points, sophomore running back Kayden Minner had two rushing scores and one receiving. Minner led all rushers with 104 yards on the ground. In the fourth quarter the Raiders added a field goal to finish the scoring while extending their lead to the final score of 38-6. Mount Union outpaced Heidelberg 427-255 in total yards. Freshman quarterback Mikey Maloney threw for 223 yards on 16 of 23 attempts with two touchdowns. Ty Poorman threw for 112 yards to go with his rushing score for Heidelberg. Running back Drew Miller added 84 yards on the ground as Heidelberg drops to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the OAC.
